Welcome to the Bungalow!
The house, built in 1914, was originally the home of John Chartz, District Attorney in Carson City. John and Marguerite raised 3 children in the home. The middle son, Jimmy Chartz, a very popular character in Carson, lived in the home until his passing at 79 in 1999. Fully restored in 2005, this Arts and Crafts style home has the original fir floors, pulley windows, pine moldings and high ceilings. Much of the decor is vintage.
We have five beautiful private guest rooms with a private bath with shower, DirecTV, hair dryer and WIFI. Each room has a queen bed with quality pillow top mattresses, lovely linens and down comforters, TV and dresser/closet.
The house also has a large screen TV in the living room with direcTV and WIFI. All common areas of the living and dining room, kitchen (limited cooking) and front porch are available to all guests.
We are also a Home Away from Home, a Vacation Rental, and whole house offering, perfect for groups, small events and getaways. The Bungalow is Carson City’s alternative to casinos and franchise motels - private, cozy, charming and perfect for the discerning traveler.
